Leknes
The Leknes magnetometer is located in Lofoten at the island Vestvågøy between the villages Leknes and Gravdal in Vestvågøy municipality. The station was set up November 1999. 
It is operated in co-operation with the Department of Earth sciences at the University of Bergen.

Instrumentation:
  • Magnetometer: FG90B  (our design)
  • Sensor: Triaxial fluxgate FS 98  (our design)
  • Logger is a P MMX 200 Mhz PC running Linux,  Redhat  6.0 OS.
  • GPS time adjustment.
  • Near realtime data are transferred two times an hour.
  • Remote control and data retrieval by ISDN connection.
